Channa Bleheri biotop

Hej!
Er der nogen der ligger inde med viden om Channa Bleheri's biotop, må i MEGET gerne ligge billeder op, og komme med beskrivelser. Dette ville hjælpe mig rigtig meget. På forhånd tak.

Heiko Bleher, som fandt arten, beskriver biotopen således:

Habitat: a typical backwater area in Assam, near Dibugrah, India. Biotope: The biotope shown is the place almost authenticly copied from the one where the beautiful Channa bleheri lives, which my friend Deepak and myself have discovered many years ago. A backwater area full of leaves and some logs, and floating vegetation.

Fish species: Channa bleheri and Channa orientalis – most of them hidden among the leafs – look closely and you will see several of them!

Heiko Bleher‘s comment: it was almost unbelievable that I was able to find a new snakehead species together with Deepak. Most of the Channa species have long been known and have been food fishes for thousends of years for many people. The reason was that species lives sympatric with the described Channa orientalis – but stays always small and grows hardly more than 15 cm in TL. It has been overlooked by (all?) people because they (all?) believed it was a baby fish...In the meanwhile it shows that it is one of the most colourful snakeheads – a real beauty. They are very hardy fishes and have a second respiratory system which allows them to breath atmospheric air.

Omkring indretning af et akvarium til Channa bleheri skriver han:

The biotope has sandy ground, hardly rocks or gravel, some driftwood and many leafs on the bottom (they like to shelter in between). There are floating plants (as they a mouth brooders, but use the roots of floating plants to hide, and to built nests), such as Eichhornia, Salvina, Azzolla, Pistia and the only aquatic vegetation is Potamogeton.
The tank for any of those should be no less than 200 liters, better little more. And be careful as they may jump! pH about 7-8, conductivity 100 max 300 and temperature varies from below 20 C in winter to 30 C in summer.

Han skriver at den eneste plante der lever under vandet i området, er Potamogeton, men umiddelbart er alle de Potamogeton jeg finder på nettet fra Syd Amerika eller central amerika?

Slægten findes også i Asien, der er en del artikler hvis man googler "Potamogeton Asia"

Aha... Er der nogen der ved om Tropica har den asiatiske Potamogeton?

Det har de ikke, men een art, som i hvert fald findes i Asien - den er nemlig stort set kosmopolit - er Potamogeton perfoliatus. Den kan også findes i Danmark. De skulle kunne klare temperaturer op til 26°C. Har lige forespurgt hos en, der prøvede nogle danske af dem i et akvarie for nogle år siden. Når jeg ved mere, skal jeg melde tilbage.
